Nestling in a peaceful well wooded valley Southern Brittany enjoys a microclimate bathed by the Gulf Stream This means that you should enjoy a Mediterranean type climate without having the long haul to the south of France. Of course we cannot guarantee the weather for the week you fish. We can say that 2003 was exceptionally dry and hot and indeed many lakes in France had great problems and suffered fish losses (some even had to close). Brittany Mill Lakes being spring fed retained good water levels and it did not become a concern.During winter 2005 our area has only recieved 40% of its normal rainfall this has resulted in a reduced amount of water feeding from the spring and currently our water level is down around a foot.
